Lunar Month of Taurus May 2023 Monthly Aspects

This is a list and short description of all the aspects I think are significant for the upcoming lunar month of Taurus, which starts on May 19, 2023 and ends on June 18, 2023. Feel free to use this to plan your month, follow along with my videos, and share with friends.

Summary

We are trying to pursue more happiness and joy in our lives after entering a new, different, and better experience of life and making that more secure. However, it is hard for us to do because deep down we don’t feel happy or are rejecting happiness and joy — and believe it is foreign, scary, shameful, or not respected. Because of that, we continue to just focus on slowing down and stabilizing our lives, until we are ready to deal with the other stuff (which won’t come until next month and onwards).

New Moon in Taurus — Fri., May 19, 2023 (28 degrees)

We are now experiencing new beginnings in our sense of self-worth and stability in life, which can bring new money sources, better finances, and more of an ability to be independent and self-reliant.

Mars enters Leo (Sat., May 20, 2023)

Because we are feeling more confident and secure, we are now trying to do more things in life that we enjoy and make us happy — like have more fun, take more risks, and work on passion projects.

Mars in Leo opposite Pluto in Aquarius (Sat., May 20-Mon., May 22, 2023)

However, having more fun and doing more of what we love and enjoy is difficult. That is because we have so many ideas and do not know which ones exactly to pursue. It is also because a part of us would rather just chill and detach and not do as many things. This is making us feel anxious, nervous, frustrated, and upset.

Mars in Leo square Jupiter in Taurus (Sat., May 20-Thurs., May 25, 2023)

We are also struggling to have fun and do what we love because we are still focusing on being stable, secure, and self-reliant — and feel as though doing what we love might upset that a bit.

Sun enters Gemini (Sun., May 21, 2023)

We begin to do some thinking about how we can overcome these blockages and settle into a different experience in a more enjoyable way.

Venus in Cancer square Chiron in Aries (Wed., May 24-Thurs., May 25, 2023)

However, the thinking doesn’t help. Our emotions take over, and we are left still feeling frustrated, anxious, uncomfortable, ungrounded, unsure of what to do next and how. Some uncomfortable emotional triggers may be coming up now with ourselves, our situations, and our relationships, which could be connected to trauma from the past.

Mars in Leo square North Node in Taurus (Thurs., May 25-Sat., May 27, 2023)

We are still unable to fully tap into more happiness and joy, despite our best efforts — and are still left feeling stuck. We also are becoming a bit confused and indecisive. Because of that, we begin to realize that maybe we need to hold off on the being happy and having fun, while we continue to stabilize and secure our experience.

First Quarter Moon in Virgo — Sat., May 27, 2023 (6 degrees)

As a result, we begin to just clean more things up in our lives, organize them, and work harder to bring more things together.

Sun in Gemini square Saturn in Pisces (Sat., May 27-Sun., May 28, 2023)

However, deep down that is unfulfilling and not really what we want to be doing. We would rather be doing other enjoyable things, and being at ease.

Jupiter conjunct North Node in Taurus (Sun., May 28-Sun., June 4, 2023)

But, it does work to help us stabilize more situations in our lives, feel more secure and self-reliant, and get our money situations in better order.

Full Moon in Sagittarius — Sat., June 3, 2023 (13 degrees)

We are now stepping more fully into a new sense of self that is stable, secure, self-reliant, and confident. We are also stepping more fully into new money sources or better ways of working with finances.

Mercury conjunct Uranus in Taurus (Sun., June 4, 2023)

We are a bit startled by how stable and secure things are becoming — in a good way. We may also receive news or have insights about a few small details within ourselves and our financial situations that aren’t secure enough and need a few tweaks.

Venus enters Leo (Mon., June 5, 2023)

Because we focused on our stability first and got more things in order, we now feel more able to receive joy and pleasure into our life. But now — in a calmer and more patient way, without pushing or forcing it as a much.

Venus in Leo opposite Pluto in Aquarius (Mon., June 5-Tues., June 6, 2023)

However, we are STILL struggling to pursue joy and feel pleasure in our lives. That is because we are still too focused on all these ideas we can pursue or things we have to do. It is also because we are still a bit detached from our situation.

Venus in Leo square North Node in Taurus (Thurs., June 8-Fri., June 9, 2023)

We end up feeling stuck and uncertain of what to do STILL, just like earlier in the month. As a result, I think we decide to just keep on being slow, stable, and secure anyways until we figure more stuff out.

Third Quarter Moon in Pisces — Sat., June 10, 2023 (19 degrees)

Focusing more on being slow, stable, secure, etc. after more things have come together puts us at ease and makes us feel a bit more restful, or able to rest.

Venus in Leo square Jupiter in Taurus (Sat., June 10-Mon., June 12, 2023)

Because we are resting and not focusing on happiness, joy, and pleasure — we then, weirdly, find happiness, joy, and pleasure easier to attain, and start to see little glimmers of it.

Pluto re-enters Capricorn retrograde (Sun., June 11, 2023)

But the more we start to actually feel happier and more joyful, we begin to realize that something is still not right within our experience and our soul. What we begin to realize is that our lives are still not fully built or structured around joy — and are still built or structured around things we really don’t care about. Not only that, but we also begin to realize that we ourselves as individuals have deep-seated beliefs that joy is shameful or not-respected, which we need to get rid of.

Mercury enters Gemini (Sun., June 11, 2023)

We now try to get more clear on what these things are deep within us that are preventing us from stepping into joy.

Mercury in Gemini square Saturn in Pisces (Thurs., June 15, 2023)

However, the more we think about it, we start to get confused. That is because joy can’t be forced or logically rationalized. It must be felt and experienced.

Saturn goes retrograde in Pisces (Sat., June 17, 2023) — 7 degrees

Because of that, we realize that we need to do the inner work to remove these personal internal barriers to joy and happiness before we can truly feel at ease and more fully in a new experience.

New Moon in Gemini — Sun., June 18, 2023 (26 degrees)

We now try to better assess what inner work needs to be done, so that we can more fully bring joy into our lives. We also feel like we are living a bit of a double life — part of us wants to be ready for joy, but another part of us is still under cutting that process.
